Touching closure of the 1st Nestlé - ITC Packaging Design Competition

The 1st Nestlé - ITC Packaging Design Competition concluded with a touching awards ceremony. The winner was a young designer who was given the maximum score by the jury, and we were all moved when she said her tears were the fruit of the huge effort she had made.

1 in 25!

Just like a packaging design brings a product face to face with the consumer's purchasing decision, on this occasion all the packs wanted to be chosen as "the one".

From among 70 registrations and 25 projects presented, the jury consisting of representatives from Nestlé, ITC Packaging, EASDA and the Polytechnic University of Valencia - Alcoy Campus, had a tough time reaching a decision in view of all the creativity on display. The general impression was unanimous: “there's lots of talent among these young people”.

The winning project, “Baby Coco” by Jennyfer Bonmati, achieved the maximum score as a pack that was very well made, with all the necessary details, like real pros would make in their daily task of creating something surprising, attractive, easy to manufacture and contributing real value to the trade, in this case for a pack intended for children.

In addition to the winning pack, 4 special mentions were given to other projects in the competition, each with their own interpretation and original ideas meriting such recognition.
