ITC Packaging joins NAPA project

On 1st July 2018, the R&D “Safer food packaging thanks to a reduction in NIAS along the different processing stages" project known as NAPA, was launched. In the next 3 years, a consortium comprising companies such as AIMPLAS, BACAICOA, REPSOL, ITC PACKAGING and Santiago de Compostela University will be working on the above project.

With the main goal of obtaining safer food packaging, this project will focus on optimising not only the formulations but also the manufacturing conditions and the transformation of materials that have been assessed with the purpose of reducing the NIAS present in the end product intended for food contact.

This project is a collaboration between different companies and entities and has been supported by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, as part of their call for entries to the 2017 Collaboration Challenge Programme. File no. RTC-2017-6553-2.
